The Program in Science Learning (PSL) is committed to promoting excellence in science educational practice.  As part of this commitment, PSL members are researching how grade 6-12 students and their teachers, undergraduates, and adults 1) develop mental models and accompanying representations to communicate ideas, and 2.) how these models change with time and experience.
