Environmental Concern Inc, a national non-profit organization is seeking an energetic and creative individual to join our dynamic team of wetland education professionals as a Part-Time (25-hours per week) Schoolyard Wetland Habitat/Teacher Trainer Position to start immediately. The successful candidate will: A) travel throughout the nation conducting teacher trainings in WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands and POW! The Planning of Wetlands curriculums as part of the 2009/2010 Wetlands Across America Campaign; B) design and install schoolyard wetland habitats throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region: C) other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must possess a bachelor's degree in environmental studies environmental education, natural resource management,science education, biological sciences or related field, have at least one(1) year of experience conducting teacher trainings and creating schoolyard habitats, and a working knowledge and understanding of wetland ecosystems. Applicants must also possess strong organizational, writing and communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently, be comfortable working independently and as a team with a diverse client base,skilled at basic computer programs. This position requires a valid driver's license. Location: Based out of Environmental Concern's Wetland Learning Center. Working from a home office is possible for those living in the DC/Baltimore or Annapolis Metro areas" or "the Western Shore of MD". Applicant working from a home office, will be required to come in to the office in St. Michaels, MD at regularly scheduled weekly intervals.
